Find what's wrong with your glossary, in a minute.
Upload a glossary spreadsheet or TBX file. You get a cleanup report: conflicting translations, duplicates, inflected entries, ambiguous and suspect terms, wrong scripts and missing translations, each with the rows to fix.
What it checks
The checks a language lead runs by hand.
A glossary that's applied to every translation has to be unambiguous. These are the problems that make a translation tool pick the wrong term, or none.
Conflicting translations
One source term, several targets, and nothing to say which applies where.
Inflected entries
Plurals and conjugated forms where the base form belongs, so matching misses the rest.
Ambiguous terms
Words with several meanings and no definition, domain or note to settle it.
Suspect translations
Targets in another meaning, another language, misspelled, or left untranslated.
- Text in the wrong script for its column
- Entries identical in every language, likely names to keep untranslated
- Duplicate rows
- Missing translations per language
Your file
Checked, then discarded.
Never stored
The file is read in memory, checked and dropped. The report lives only in this page.
No training on your terms
The AI review goes to a model provider that doesn't train on what it's sent.
Email only if you ask
You can leave your address after the report. Nothing is sent otherwise.
Questions
About the glossary check.
What does the glossary check look for?
Conflicting translations of the same term, duplicate rows, inflected entries that should be base forms, ambiguous source terms without context, suspect translations, text in the wrong script, entries identical in every language, and missing translations. The first checks are rule-based; inflected, ambiguous and suspect terms come from an AI review of each entry.
Is my file stored?
No. Syngram reads the file in memory, builds the report and discards the file. Nothing from it is saved, and the report disappears when you leave the page. For the AI review, the terms are sent to an AI model provider that doesn't train on them.
Which files can I upload?
CSV, TSV and Excel (.xlsx) spreadsheets with one column per language, and TBX files exported from a terminology tool. Files up to 10 MB and 50,000 rows. The AI review covers the first 2,000 entries.
Why do inflected entries matter?
A glossary entry is matched against running text. When it holds a base form like "invoice", a matcher that knows the language also finds "invoices". When it holds "invoices", the singular is easily missed, and the target term may be forced into the wrong form.
Do I need an account?
No. The check is free and needs no sign-up. You can leave your email after the report if you'd like to hear when Syngram opens.
Syngram
Then make every translation follow it.
Syngram applies your glossary to every translation and checks each segment against it: required terms, forbidden variants and do-not-translate names. See it on your own glossary.
